TM: Hello everyone, I’m Tim Moss and welcome to the Fansite awards 2018! I want to thank everyone that voted and those who contributed to the EIWF Network in 2018. Before we get to the awards let me give you a brief history of the Fansite who is responsible for the awards.
The fansite can trace it’s roots back to 1998 but it was in 1999 it had a dedicated website and started to publish monthly results such as wrestler rankings, merchandise sales, TV Ratings, a wrestler interview and a monthly column. Originally the fansite was an add on for the EIWF and was called ‘The Wrestling Fans Fansite’ but as competition grew the Fansite included other feds and would act as an umbrella site for all the various feds. The fansite ran until the summer of 2004. In 2004 the fansite looked at holding an annual tournament open to all, this was going to decide who was the best in the wrestling world as the winner would be crowned the FEC (Fansite Elite Champion) but for whatever reason, it never materialised. Efeds associated with the Fansite in one form or another include, Extreme Internet Wrestling Federation (EIWF), Internet Championship Wrestling (ICW), Internet Wrestling Alliance (IWA), Extreme Wrestling Alliance (EWA), Extreme Wrestling Frontline (EWF), World Wrestling Organization (WWO), Fight 2 Survive (F2S), New Wrestling Legends (NWL), Outsiders Wrestling Federation (OWF) and the BCWF…..
After a six year run the Fansite closed its doors as the efed business seemed to fade away. However in 2017 the fansite editor was contacted about an EIWF reunion……….and that's where it started. The fansite released bi monthly rankings and columns, plus videos, entrance themes and links to the archive section of a number of feds who are linked to the EIWF Network. After a successful reunion year with the EIWF the Fansite asked for votes for various awards. There will be no fed of the year award as the EIWf was the only fed. Thank you to everyone who voted. Let's get to the awards……

Commentator or co-commentator of the year
The nominations are…..
Tim Moss - The EIWF’s main play by play commentator. For the Reunion tour Tim has hosted the big shows such as, Doomsday, Redemption and The EIWF’s Final Stand Part 1 and 2. Tim also works with the Fabsite and has his own column entitled ‘The Moss report’. Tim worked with the EIWF in its original run.
Joey Carlton - Joey has been the main play by play commentator for the Havoc shows that have run between the big pay per views that Tim hosted. Joey actually worked for an EIWF competitor, the ICW before being invited back into the EIWF Network.
Mark Madden - Mark worked for both the EIWF and the ICW at different times so knew both Tim and Joey well. His colour commentary adds a different feel to matches and he has made his love for Hogan and the CREW well known.
and the winner is………………..TIM MOSS!!!!
1st Tim Moss
RU Mark Madden
3rd Joey Carlton
(The video package ends and Tim Moss is shown back in the studio holding an award)
TM: Thank you to everyone who voted for me, it is very much appreciated. I’m sure Mark won't agree with result but he will get over it. OK next up is the award for most improved wrestler. Here are the top three contenders…..
(A video package plays)
Most Improved Wrestler/Roleplayer
The nominations are……..
Revolution - Despite retiring from in ring action Revolution has become a big part of the EIWF throughout 2018. He started the year as an interviewer but expanded to a Podcaster, then a scout for the EIWF, a trainer and mentor, hosting his own segment with his RDD show on Havoc shows and Pay Per Views to actually stepping in the ring. He ended the year being promoted to head of creative. His contribution to the EIWF greatly increased as the year progressed.
Suicide - Has been a part of the reunion on and off throughout 2018 and ended it on a high when he won the EIWF Genesis Tag Team Title (with Jimmy Brandon). A feeling of not reaching his potential saw a great run in the fall as he feuded with Eddie D. This saw Suicide increase in quality and commitment as he spend more time being active in the fed.
Regal - A solid contributor in the EIWF’s initial run when he was known as Steven Regal, has been very active since the reunion and set his sights on the Genesis title. A solid performer who has turned into a real title contender. Bring his own sense of character with his British mannerisms which makes him stand out from the crowd.
And the winner is…………….Regal!
1st Regal
RU Revolution
3rd Suicide
(The video ends and Tim Moss is shown in the studio with a picture of Regal in the background)
TM: Congratulations to Regal on winning the award, I can tell you that he won 67% of the votes and was the clear winner. I can tell you that a lot of people have been surprised how much Regal has improved since the EIWF’s original run. His character has developed in that time and he stands out with his own unique style. Next up we are looking at the award for the best new comer……
(Video Package plays)
Rookie of the Year (Best newcomer)
The nominations are……...
Kenny Omega - Kenny joined the EIWF in June of 2018 and remained until Aug. His stay was brief but he made a good impression. He set his sights high as soon as he arrived, looking to throw himself in the mix with Hollywood Hogan and the CREW. However his behaviour was not always appreciated by some of the other stars who felt he stepped over the line. A shame he didn't stay around longer but made appearances at Havoc and the Final Stand PPV.
Jimmy Brandon - Jimmy joined in the summer and has made a good solid start to his EIWF career. He has maintained a high position within the company with his association with the New Era Icons. He also won the Genesis Tag Team title with Suicide and was in the tournament for the Genesis title. A real fan favourite who doesn't speak a bad word about anyone and likes to be positive no matter what. His colourful promos are very popular with the fans. Looks set to improve in 2019.
Ellis Black - The first, current and only ever Genesis champion. Ellis joined in the summer and is the leader of the New Era Icons, has feuding with the CREW and had battles with Regal over the Genesis title. Often outspoken and not afraid to be controversial, you only have to see his promos when he called out wrestlers from other feds. May yet still fight Kendrick Kross if Kross agrees to sign a contract. Ellis doesn't always stay on the right side of the rules, not always popular with the fans……...but boy has he been a great addition to the EIWF and a worthy champion.
And the winner is……………...Ellis Black!
1st Ellis Black
RU Jimmy Brandon
3rd Kenny Omega
(The video ends and Tim Moss is shown in the studio with a picture of Ellis Black in the background)
TM: Congratulations to the original new era icon Ellis Black. I can tell you this award was never in doubt, Ellis was the overwhelming choice with voters and got 70% of the votes! Jimmy Brandon who was runner up got 22%!! Ellis has been a strong performer since his arrival, he broke out of the shadow of Revolution and has taken the new era icons in a different direction. People may not agree with that direction but you can't argue with their success. The three members hold all the Genesis titles. There was also votes for Kenny Omega and Keg. Personally I hope the match with Kendrick Kross can happen, it is a match everyone wants to see in the EIWF. Next up is the award for Stable of the year…..
(Video package plays)
Stable of the Year
The nominations are……..
New era Icons - The New Era Icons were formed in the summer with a group of younger stars looking to make a name for themselves and ensure they were not politically held back by some of the older established stars. The leader is Ellis Black and he was originally joined by Jimmy Brandon and Kenny Omega. The group was later joined by Suicide who was part of the EIWF’s original run and had first hand experience of the politics from the older stars. The group was under the tutelage of Revolution but they broke away feeling they were being overshadowed by Revolutions name. The ended 2019 holding the Genesis title and the Genesis tag team titles.
EX3 - Formed by Davie J to make a stand against the CREW and to ‘police’ the EIWF to ensure that new talent would not be held back by the CREW. The group consisted of Davie J, Badd Dogg, Kurt Angle and Revolution in a managers role. Initially the group was strong and had some of the EIWF’s biggest stars of the original run. But with Badd Dogg leaving and Kurt Angle injured the group has waned at the end of the year and doesn't look as strong as it did initially.
The CREW - Described as the cancer of the EIWF………….and also the greatest stable there has ever been! Very very popular, the group formed with the original three of Hogan, Davie J and Eddie D….briefly. They were joined by Jeff Jarrett and Big Poppa but a falling out between Hogan and Davie saw the group split. Mainly has consisted of Hogan, Big Poppa and Eddie D through the year as the group battled both the New Era Icons and EX3. Always part of the top storylines and angles through the year, the group still pulled some political strings to ensure it was about them at the expense of others, especially Wishmaster.
And the winner is…………..the CREW!
1st The CREW
RU New Era Icons
3rd EX3
(The video ends and Tim Moss is shown in the studio with a frown on his face and a video package playing in the background of CREW matches)
TM: Well…….what can I saw. It was your votes that decided this and the CREW is the winner. I'm sure Mark Madden will be happy. But let me tell you, this was close……….damn close. In fact the CREW beat the New Era Icons by one vote!!! Just one vote. The EX3 were a way off distant third. Well love them or hate them, they do add something to the EIWF and do have star names and can be relied upon. You just know we are going to have to hear about this award now all through 2019. In fairness they have been involved with the biggest angles and storylines in the EIWF reunion, the members have played their part in making the reunion successful. Often talked about as past their best and has beens….they keep coming back and on top of the wrestling world, they keep proving us wrong. Talking of Angles, that’s our next award…..
(Video package plays)
Angle/Feud of the Year
The Nominations are……
Hollywood Hogan vs Davie J - Two of, if not the two biggest names in the history of the EIWF. They had a big fall out regarding the CREW but this feud didn't materialize into the one on one spectacle everyone was looking for, there was a handicap match where Hogan beat Davie for the Legends title but the Prez reversed the decision. Is there still unfinished business between these two. With Hogan leading the CREW without Davie and Davie starting the EX3 there may be more to come from these two in 2019.
‘Old vs Young’ (New Era Icons vs CREW/EX3) - As accusations of politics and younger talent being held back surfaced, there was a divide. The CREW and EX3 both had older established stars, while the New Era Icons had the younger new talent. The feud has been the main focal point of the EIWF through the fall of 2018 and offers some exciting match ups between today's biggest stars and yesterday's biggest stars. The CREW have been written off as past their best but they have shown they still have a lot to offer. Meanwhile the New era Icons have shown they are more than good enough to lead the EIWF in 2019
Wishmaster vs the CREW - When the EIWF ended in 2003 Wishmaster was it’s biggest star, longest ever World champion and last World champion. When the EIWF returned in 2017 Wishmaster looked to carry on where he left off. He’d never faced some of the biggest stars who left before he joined such as Davie J, Hollywood Hogan and Badd Dogg. The return saw a great opportunity, he feuded with the CREW and had a five/zero winning streak against CREW members as he looked to end the faction once and for all. There was wins over Big Poppa, Jeff Jarrett, Eddie D, X-Factor and Rodzilla. But he never got to its biggest two stars, Davie and Hogan. They started to feud with each other, with some suggesting this was to purposely keep the spotlight on them and away from Wishmaster. Wishmaster left in the summer but he was twice ranked number one in the rankings in 2018 and undoubtedly one of the EIWF’s biggest stars.
And the winner is……….Old vs Young!!!
1st Old vs Young
RU Hollywood Hogan vs Davie J
3rd Wishmaster vs the CREW
(The video package ends and Tim Moss is shown back in the studio with images of the New Era icons fighting the CREW on a screen behind him)
TM: This was another clear winner, 75% of the votes were for ‘Old vs Young’ or the New Era Icons vs the CREW vs EX3. It has been the backbone of the EIWF’s storylines from the summer onwards and I believe we still have more to come from this feud. I think the reason it works so well is it is the EIWF of the past colliding with the EIWF of the future. Next up we have the award for Tag Team of the year. Everyone knows that the tag team divisions in wrestling are not what they use to be, the EIWF has had some great tag teams in the past, the Good Guys, the Hero & Zero Connection, Big Poppa & X-Factor to name a few. But since the reunion there has been a healthy competition in the tag team division.
(Video package plays)
Tag Team of the Year
The nominations are…….
The Good Guys - One of the most famous tag teams ever in wrestling. Together they have held the EIWF tag team title three times plus one more time each with different partners. They returned to the EIWF for the reunion shows and won the tag team tournament on Doomsday, beating the Hero & Zero connection in the final. They have travelled the world and won titles in many different feds.
Jimmy Brandon & Suicide - The duo from the New Era Icons won the Genesis tag team titles when they defeated the CREW’s Eddie D and Big Poppa. Jimmy Brandon had gone close to winning the titles with Kenny omega but the addition of the experienced Suicide saw them win the belts. The team have been part of the biggest storylines in 2018 and successfully defended the titles on numerous occasions.
Eddie D & Big Poppa - Two of the most successful tag team wrestlers in the EIWF’s history paired together to win the Genesis Tag Team titles when they defeated Jimmy Brandon and Kenny Omega on the fifth episode of Havoc. There experience helped bring meaning and prestige to the tag team division as the EIWF re-introduced tag team championships.
And the winner is……...Jimmy Brandon & Suicide from the New Era Icons!!
1st Jimmy Brandon & Suicide
RU Eddie D & Big Poppa
3rd The Good Guys
(The video package ends and Tim Moss is shown back in the studio with an image of Jimmy Brandon and Suicide holding the Genesis tag team titles in the air)
TM: I have to say I thought the Good Guys were in with a chance, they came back in the reunion shows and looked strong, they won the tag team tournament but finished third in your votes. This shows how impressive of a win it is for Suicide and Jimmy Brandon, this is the first time the Good Guys didn't win the award when they had been active during that year within the feds of the fansite. The New Era Icons show how popular they are with the public, the tag team of Suicide and Jimmy Brandon took 61% of the votes, with the runners up taking 28% and third place 11%. But the real positive is just how competitive our tag team division has been and that shows what talent we have in the EIWF.
We are now down to our last two awards, now since the EIWF returned it has not produced as many shows in a year as it did in its original run. The EIWF also sells itself as the casual efed, so shows are less frequent but we have still put out a total of 15 shows in the last year. Previously this award was for PPV of the year, but due to the nature of the business it also includes the Havoc shows. So lets see which ones stood out for the voters…...

PPV/Show of the Year
The nominations are……..
Redemption - The special edition Redemption was the second super show of the EIWF reunion. Originally Redemption was the EIWF’s second main show after Doomsday, Redemption was held in the UK and saw the beginning of the tournament leading to the Final Stand PPV. Highlights included Wishmaster vs X-Factor as Wishmaster continued his quest to defeat every member of the CREW. The masked man appeared and attacked Suicide meaning he lost his place in the tournament through injury, the introduction of the Legends title, Joe Green vs Eddie D, all of the CREW in the same ring for the first time in 15 years…….followed by a massive fall out, Super Fire Jr vs Scott Douglass, Kurt Angle vs Metyl, Wishmaster vs Big Poppa, the debut of Tormentor. The show set up the conclusion of the tournament going into Final Stand.
Hollywood Havoc - The EIWF’s regular show to fill in between the super shows, it had a different feel, a different format but Jeff Jarrett who had been commissioner had one last say before he lost his role…..a special Havoc show booked by the CREW, dubbed ‘Hollywood’ Havoc. Highlights included, Jimmy Brandon vs Suicide…...the CREW booked this match as the two were the current tag team champions and they tried to cause friction between the two. Ellis Black vs Revolution. Ellis the Genesis champion was booked to face his mentor Revolution who was not cleared to wrestle. A handicap match for the Legends title as champion Davie J faced against Hollywood Hogan, Jeff Jarrett and Big Poppa….with Eddie D as the referee. It proved to be the most popular Havoc show.
Final Stand - Where the whole reunion idea came from. Originally planned in 2007 but not realized until 2017. The Final Stand was the last rounds of the tournament to see who would win the EIWF’s Final Stand. Highlights included more with the masked attacker, Davie J vs Super Fire Jr, Badd Dogg vs Eddie D, Wishmaster vs L double E, ‘Hulk’ Hogan vs Kurt Angle. The second night of the PPV took a look back at former competitors such as the IWA, ICW and WWO. Ellis Black vs Regal and the semi final and final match. The show was full of twists and turns and had the biggest names from the EIWF’s past. If the EIWF needed a send off as it rode into the sunset never to be seen again….this truly was it!
And the winner is……..Final Stand!!
1st Final Stand
RU Hollywood Havoc
3rd Redemption
(The video ends and Tim Moss is shown in the studio with highlights from Final Stand playing on the monitors behind him)
™: WOW!! Just watching that…….just wow! The big names we had on the shows, what a great success this reunion turned out to be. It took almost a year, it evolved from being just one show to more then ten. But it was to give people the send off, the chance to say goodbye and I have to say, I loved every second of it. Final Stand was the clear winner taking 50% of the votes and Hollywood Havoc receiving 25%. I must mention Doomsday, it was just pipped by Redemption to third place and the Prez himself said that Doomsday was his vote! Final Stand though, it tied up the loose ends, gave us a surprise finish I believe. No one would have called that when we started Doomsday. But it worked so well. We had four big traditional names in the final four of the Final Stand Tournament…..Davie J, Hollywood Hogan, L double E and Badd Dogg…...but how did they do in the wrestler of the year award???
(Video package plays)
Wrestler of the Year
The nominations are……
Regal - This goes to highlight just what a successful year Regal has had. He has been named the most improved wrestler already, can he claim the top prize also? Regal was known as a good solid mid carder in the EIWF’s initial run and won the TV title three times. He has not yet won a title in the EIWF’s return but has been involved around the Genesis title. He has had a long and interesting feud with Ellis Black the Genesis champion. Regal has been a big main stay on the Havoc shows but what his really caught people's attention is his improvement in his promo’s. He has made himself stand out from the crowd with a certain style that he brings when on the mic, but its not just different, but a real improvement has been noticed by everyone. Got huge praise for his joint promo he worked on with L double E. Congratulations in making it to the top three for the wrestler of the year award.
Davie J - The EIWF’s biggest star in it’s initial run. His return for the reunion made people take notice of the EIWF’s return. His fist promo back got a 157 rating. To put that in context, the last six promos in the EIWF have a total rating of 86!!! Has held the Legends title since March, been involved with storylines with the CREW, New Era Icons and EX3. Plus feuds with Wishmaster and Tormentor and Hollywood Hogan. Won the tag team tournament with Eddie D and made it to the semi final of the Final Stand PPV. Perhaps not as active as his initial run, but reliable and a big name for the EIWF. Has been working closely with the Prez it seems, but the year didn't quite plan out as hoped for Davie who wanted to win the Final Stand tournament. Has produced some great promos on his return but some feel he has lost that edge by becoming a face rather than a heel. Although he disagrees, and states he does whatever is required for the EIWF. Congratulations on making it to the top three for the wrestler of the year award.
Eddie D - Often in Davie’s shadow, Eddie returned for the reunion and won the tag team tournament with Davie. Eddie then finished as runner up in the rumble match but got a reprieve for the Final Stand tournament after Suicide withdrew with injury. Had a good run and despite not make it to the semi finals he stayed in the main storylines with his association with the CREW and was the special guest referee for the main event. Eddie also added to his long list of tag titles when he won the Genesis tag team title with Big Poppa. 2018 has been a mark out year for Eddie, it's the longest period he has not worked with Davie and he has thrived at the challenge. Often ridiculed by Hogan and looked as inferior by some compared to Hogan and Eddie. Even his previous two world title runs in the BCWF and IWA are hardly ever mentioned. Rumoured that he is held back by being in the CREW, a statement he always dismissed. He has been on every show since the EIWF returned, has added more creativity with his promos included more then just in ring mic work such as shoots from the Double D club. Congratulations on making it to the top three for the wrestler of the year award.
And the winner is………..Eddie D!!!!
1st Eddie D
RU Regal
3rd Davie J
(The video ends and Tim Moss is shown in the studio with an image of Eddie D behind him on the screens)
TM: Congratulations to Eddie D! I think many expected it to be one of the usual suspects, but this was down to your votes! A quick mention for Regal, what a year! Most improved and runner up in the wrestler of the year award! Eddie D has been voted your wrestler of the year. Let me tell you that there was votes for…..Eddie, Regal and Davie obviously…...but also….Ellis Black, Hollywood Hogan, L double E, Revolution, Suicide, Wishmaster…...and….Eddie got more vote than anyone! As mentioned in the VT, Eddie is generally in the shadows of Hollywood Hogan and Davie J, but in 2018 he was able to stand out from behind them. With Davie leaving the CREW and a smaller roster it gave Eddie the chance to shine, and boy did he take it. In the last year Eddie has cut 35 promo’s, Davie J 44 and Regal 34. Those three are in the top seven for the year for the EIWF, so it shows how important they are to the EIWF. Eddie joins previous Fansite Wrestlers of the year such as Tormentor, Davie J and Badd Dogg. I bet the Double D club will be rocking tonight….happy hour all night long!
I am Tim Moss, thank you for joining me for the Fansite 2018 awards….goodnight.
